October Newsletter
Hello to all! Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful time so far in dance. We are so excited to see new faces and the
return of so many students.
If you haven’t heard, our adult
classes are going over great!! Have you been curious to test one out, but a little
nervous to try? The adult hip hop and jazz classes have lots of beginner students
that were once in your shoes! We would like to welcome you to come and watch
or even try out one class for free to see if it’s something you might love!
The first week of October is “Bring a Friend to Dance” week. * Have your student bring a friend to their class to see what all the fun is about from
October 1st through October 7th. If that friend signs up
as a regular student at The Dance Co.,
your student will receive one free Dance Co. sweatsuit (zip up hoodie and drawstring open bottom sweatpant).
Also coming up in October are the Halloween
parties. The week of October 24th through 30th, your student
may wear a costume to class and bring treats. If you choose to bring treats,
please make sure to bring enough for all students in the class.
I would like to note one change on the
fall calendar. I have Thanksgiving listed the wrong week on the calendar—the
actual Thanksgiving break will take place from November 26th -30th.
Sorry about the mix-up!
The first Dance Co. Apparel order will
be going in on October 1st, so please turn your orders in ASAP. After
September, shoe orders will be placed on the 1st and 15th of every month. The shoe and dancewear sale ends September 30.
During the month
of October, all Danskin, Capezio, and Leo’s dance bags will be 15% off! Please
ask at the front desk to see our large selection of backpacks, drawstring bags,
roll bags, and sling backpacks.
Finally, I would like to remind everyone
about stretch turn and leap class. This is an excellent class to give your student
extra time to work on their technique for some of the more complicated aspects of dance, as well as help them to improve their
flexibility. This class is especially important once choreography begins and
we spend more of the regular class time learning recital dances. There is no
costume fee for stretch turn and leap as it is a technique class only. Students who sign up for stretch turn and leap in October will receive November’s class at half price!
*The following classes cannot accommodate
more students, so will not be able to participate in “Bring a Friend to Dance” Week.
